Is new Adobe Flash Player Version 10+ causing flashing ads?

Using W7. As soon as I install Adobe Flash Player (from their site) I start getting extremely annoying flash ads. These pop ups are the most annoying ever. Was Adobe Downloads hacked? Cannot believe a reputable company would do this knowingly. If I uninstall Flash Player the ads disappear. It is the malware! Is there a solution?
