Installation problems?

I'm trying to install a program on my laptop, but when I try to start the process I get a box telling me that this can't be done, due to either "debuggers or reverse engineering tools" being active. It dosen't tell me any names. Where could I find and/or disable these things? ALso how could I tell what exactly it's talking about? I haven't knowingly loaded either of those tools so I'm kinda lost.
