Do you feel lying is one of the cruelest, disrespectful things you can do another person?

How can anyone claim to care, love or respect and then look straight at them and knowingly deceive someone? Do they feel so superior to the person that they don't see that the person deserves even enough respect to tell them whats real, they must think they are so much smarter that they can fool the person, to be a liar is a complete waste of a human soul...it is the most selfish thing to me its a huge sin against love and God....its pure self centered hatred! I'd prefer to hang myself with the truth, at least my health wil be better for it, and im showing respect to others! What do you think, do you think lying to someone, esp when they care about you, is it cruel?
